The following research reflects a study of durability applied to concretes produced with low carbon cement (LC3), exposed under conditions of high aggressiveness in Cayo Santa María, north of the province of Villa Clara. The evaluation was carried out as for the influence that they exert, in the durability of these concretes, their porosity and the properties of transport of ions chloride, applying the procedure based on the test of permeability to the air by the Torrent method and the accelerated diffusion of chlorides applying the test ASTM C-1202. The study is able to evaluate these parameters from the results of the tests carried out and their correlation. In addition to a comparison with the data obtained in investigations carried out in previous years and the influence that the environmental parameters exert on them. On the other hand, it is demonstrated the superiority of the concretes manufactured with LC3 as far as their durability in aggressive environments with respect to the concretes manufactured with Portland P-35 cement. Keywords:concrete, durability, low carbon cement (LC3), porosity, ion transport, high aggressiveness.
