The following diploma work carries out a study of different tests on concretes produced with LC2 carried out in different places of Cuba: ECM Mariel, ECOT Cayo Santa María and EPP Remedios, where different dosages were evaluated with substitutions of LC2 that vary between 15 and 45%, the aggregates, cements and additives are of different origins, which caused that the results were different and that it was impossible to make a comparison between them. This research focuses on evaluating the properties of these concretes in a fresh and hardened state, such as the settlement by the Abrams cone and vibrating table, and the compressive strength of the concrete at different ages. The aim of this work is to prove that calcined clays are a feasible solution to produce concretes that guarantee adequate properties for their use. Also because this addition represents economically speaking a substantial saving of portland cement, which is vital for developing countries.
