The elements involved in road safety are; the man, the vehicle and the environment (via-medium). In this work we will work with the elements related to the track, and As a fundamental element we have the layout, the one that responds to a certain geometrical design that is subject to standards, regulations, indications and other documents, and once executed, it has a direct impact on the speed with the vehicles on the roads. With the present investigation establish the prediction models of the operating speed profile for the two-lane rural roads of national interest in the province of Villa Clara. A bibliographic review was carried out where the different methods were analyzed used internationally, and it was found that the most widely used is the called "Operating Speed Profile Prediction Models" because of its easy application, which has been obtained in other countries, and with it the need to complete the information available and to develop the methodology for obtaining the models with the characteristics of the roads of the Province. Initially the existing data was analyzed, and the information was completed in the including obtaining the operating speed of vehicles that were passing through it in free flow, to then determine the prediction models of the speed profile for different plan and profile alignment conditions in two-lane rural roads in the context of the Villa Clara province. The model determined, constitutes a tool for the evaluation of the consistency of the layout and its impact on road safety on roads of national interest two-lane rural roads in the province of Villa Clara, is a model developed in a first version by the engineer Abreu Losada Liusbet and continued by the engineer Carreras Valdés Alfonso Javier, who concludes with the present work. With the application of this model those places will be detected in which it can the accident, as well as the geometric characteristics of the road that contribute to this problem, to take into account the improvements to be made or possible designs .
